How to Make Beignets Using Canned Biscuits

Easy Beignets Recipe Ingredients:

Pillsbury Grands Biscuits*** (8 count makes 32 bite size donuts)

*** Be sure to get the “Southern Homestyle” Grands, and NOT the “flaky” ones

Powdered Sugar

Oil for frying

Flour for dusting surface

How to Make Homemade Beignets:

1.) Sprinkle flour on a clear surface or cutting mat.

Remove biscuits from the can and separate.

Pat biscuits in the flour to coat on both sides.

Press down to flatten with your hand.

Cut the biscuits into 4 pieces each.

2.) Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan or use a Fry Daddy electric fryer.

3.) Carefully place the biscuit pieces in the oil about 5-6 at a time.

It only takes a minute to become golden brown.

Flip and cook until golden.

Remove to drain on paper towels.

Using a fine mesh strainer, sprinkle the beignets with powdered sugar.
